439 FNUS54 KHUN 071917 FWFHUN Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama National Weather Service Huntsville AL 217 PM CDT Tue May 7 2024 .DISCUSSION... Unsettled weather with multiple rounds of showers and storms is expected through midweek. Some of these storms may become strong to severe, with hail and damaging winds the main threats this afternoon and tonight and damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes with the complex of storms anticipated Wednesday night into Thursday. Mixing heights are forecast to reach between 5000-6000 ft both Wednesday and Thursday. Southwest transport winds will range between 20-30 mph Wednesday afternoon and shift to be westerly between 10-20 mph on Thursday. Daytime dispersions are expected to be very good on Wednesday then good on Thursday. Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible during the late night/early morning hours. Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
