The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Cowley County in south central Kansas...
  Southeastern Sumner County in south central Kansas...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 749 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Geuda
  Springs, or 7 miles south of Oxford, moving northeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Arkansas City, Winfield, Oxford, Udall, Burden, South Haven,
  Atlanta, Geuda Springs, Rock, Hunnewell, Winfield City Lake, and
  Strother Field Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
Kansas.
