...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HUMBOLDT COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM PDT...

At 440 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 31 miles southwest of
Orovada to near Winnemucca to 24 miles southwest of Valmy. Movement
was northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Surface observations upstream have reported wind gusts of
         up to 53 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Winnemucca, Golconda, Paradise Hill Summit, Golconda Summit, Lone
Tree Mine, Winnemucca Airport, and Adam Peak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
