Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.1 inch low continues to slowly lift northward
through Quebec today on the east side of Hudson Bay. Meanwhile,
ridging at 30.0 inches centered over western Lake Superior slides
east across the entire lake this afternoon. Ridging shifts east
tonight as a broad 29.6 inch low pressure moves across the Upper
Midwest. This low pressure will continue to move east across the
Central and Lower Great Lakes on Sunday. A 30.0 inch ridge
extending from northwest Ontario follows in its wake Sunday
afternoon into Monday, building to 30.2 inches Tuesday morning.
Tuesday, deep low pressure of 29.2 inches will lift northeast
through the central Plains. The low will weaken to 29.3 inches as
it reaches the Upper Great Lakes on Wednesday.
