.DISCUSSION...
Breezy, southwesterly flow will continue across the extreme
southwestern Texas Panhandle/areas within the Fire Danger Statement
while winds remain south to southeasterly across the rest of the
Caprock and Rolling Plains today. Severe thunderstorms are likely
along and east of the I-27/HWY-87 corridors today and tonight with
flash flooding possible in the Rolling Plains. Prevailing winds
outside of the thunderstorms will remain generally out of the south
otherwise with southerly winds remaining intact tonight as storms
come to an end. A cold front will move southward through the region
tomorrow morning with northerly winds persisting all day tomorrow.
