This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Tonight and Saturday
There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of accumulating snow late
tonight in northeast Nebraska into west-central Iowa. A few slick
spots on roads will be possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday night through Friday
There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of accumulating snow
continuing through Saturday afternoon in northeast Nebraska into
west-central Iowa. A few slick spots on roads will be possible.
There is a 5 to 10 percent chance of strong to severe storms in
portions of southeast Nebraska Sunday evening. The main threat
would be hail. Strong southeast winds are also expected on Sunday
with gusts up to 45 mph.
A band of moderate to heavy snow is expected to clip portions of
northeast Nebraska northwest of Norfolk Sunday night through
Monday. Slick, snow-covered roads are expected (60 to 80 percent
chance). Strong northwesterly winds gusting to 45 mph in northeast
Nebraska could lead to blowing snow and a few downed trees and
power lines. Less snow is will fall to the southeast, but a few
slick spots may develop as far south as Interstate 80.
