...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southern New Jersey, including the following
  counties, Cumberland and Salem.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 338 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated earlier heavy rainfall
    across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - For Maurice River at Norma:
    At 3:15am the stage was 4.0 feet.
    Flood Stage is 4 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
