...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER THE CARIBBEAN WATERS...

At 230 AM AST, the Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms redeveloping across the offshore Caribbean waters,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. Additional
thunderstorms were developing over the coastal Caribbean waters of
Puerto Rico, about 10 NM south of Salinas. These thunderstorms
were moving west-northwest at 20 knots. At least through the rest
of the morning hours, thunderstorms can develop across the
Caribbean waters and the Mona Passage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
