REMARKS...

THE MONTH OF JANUARY WAS RELATIVELY DRY AT THE FARGO HECTOR
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AS ONLY 0.21 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL AND
WAS 0.49 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH WAS ALSO BELOW
AVERAGE WITH ONLY 3.7 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION. THIS IS 7.5
INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL VALUE OF 11.2 INCHES. NO DAILY RECORD
PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS OCCURRED THIS MONTH.

THE AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WAS 11.2 DEGREES OR 1.9 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE THIS MONTH OCCURRED DURING A
COLD SNAP AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH WITH A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
OF 23 DEGREES BELOW ZERO ON THE 5TH. THE MONTHLY MAXIMUM OCCURRED
DURING A MID MONTH WARM UP WITH A HIGH OF 41 DEGREES ON THE 19TH. NO
DAILY RECORD TEMPERATURES OCCURRED THIS MONTH.
