THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2018 WAS SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE GRAND
FORKS UNIVERSITY/NWS. TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 0.62
INCHES OR 0.09 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. LIKEWISE SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH
WAS 9.8 INCHES AND IS ALSO JUST BELOW AVERAGE OR 0.6 INCHES BELOW
NORMAL. TEMPERATURES FOR THE MONTH FLUCTUATED FROM VERY COLD TO VERY
WARM WITH A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 22 DEGREES BELOW ZERO ON THE 12TH
AND A MAXIMUM OF 41 DEGREES ON THE 19TH. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR
THE MONTH WAS 9.4 DEGREES OR 2.0 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.
