REMARKS...

THE MONTH OF JANUARY WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE GRAND FORKS
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS ONE
HALF INCH WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO THE NORMAL VALUE OF 0.55 INCHES.
SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH WAS BELOW AVERAGE WITH 9.3 INCHES OF SNOW
ACCUMULATION WHICH WAS 1.4 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. A DAILY RECORD SNOW
AMOUNT OF 4.6 INCHES FELL ON THE 10TH. THE OLD RECORD WAS 3.0 INCHES
SET IN 1976.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 10.1 DEGREES OR 3.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.
THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 25 BELOW ZERO ON THE 13TH
AND THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WHICH WAS 41 DEGREES ON
THE 19TH. A DAILY RECORD HIGH OF 41 DEGREES OCCURRED ON THE 19TH.
THE OLD RECORD HIGH WAS 38 DEGREES SET IN 1991.
