.SUMMARY...
AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES GO...ON THE WHOLE...DECEMBER WAS PRETTY CLOSE
TO AVERAGE IN LITTLE ROCK. HOWEVER...THIS PARTICULAR DECEMBER HAD
SOME SIGNIFICANT TEMPERATURE SWINGS. MUCH OF THE FIRST TWENTY DAYS
OF THE MONTH WERE SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW AVERAGE...WITH DAILY
TEMPERATURES AS COLD AS 15-20 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE DURING THE
SECOND AND THIRD WEEKS. A STRONG ARCTIC FRONT MOVED THROUGH ON THE
17TH...DROPPING TEMPERATURES 56 DEGREES IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS...AND
PRODUCING BRIEF VERY LIGHT WINTRY PRECIPITATION.

RAINFALL WAS CLOSE TO AVERAGE FOR THE MONTH...AND WAS FAIRLY
SCATTERED THROUGHOUT DECEMBER. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CLOSE TO
AVERAGE...IT WAS STILL THE DRIEST DECEMBER IN TWO YEARS.

.MONTHLY TEMPERATURES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2014. THE AVERAGE
LOW AND MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WERE BOTH THE COOLEST SINCE 2013.

.DAILY TEMPERATURES...
DAILY TEMPERATURES WERE ABOVE AVERAGE ON 15 DAYS...BELOW AVERAGE ON
15 DAYS AND AVERAGE ON ONE DAY.
