...Data for North Little Rock for August 2017...

.Summary...
For the fourth month in a row, temperatures were below the 30-year
average in North Little Rock.

For the second year in a row, there were no 100-degree days in
August. For the first time in two years, there were no low
temperatures at or above 80 degrees. Also, North Little Rock saw its
fewest 90-degree days in August in 25 years.

Rainfall was above average for the second year in a row, though the
4.75 inches of rain that fell was the least in the month of August
in two years.

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coolest since 1992, and the
coolest on record. The average low temperature was the coolest since
2015. The average monthly temperature was the coolest since 2009,
and the 2nd coolest on record.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on four days, average on one
day and below average on 26 days.

There were seven days with temperatures at or above 90 degrees,
which, for the month, was the fewest since 1992, and the fewest on
record. The previous record was nine days, from 1992.

On the 13th, the high temperature of 76 degrees marked the coolest
high temperature in the month of August since 2013, and most
recently tied August 20, 2008 for the 5th coolest high temperature
on record during the month of August.

.Monthly Rainfall...
For the second August in a row, rainfall was above the 30-year
average. However, it was the least amount of rain in August since
2015. Regardless of that, this August ranks as the 10th wettest on
record at North Little Rock.
