.Synopsis for Marianas Waters...Large southwest to west swell from
distant Typhoon Lan will cause hazardous conditions for small craft.
Combined seas of 7 to 10 feet tonight will build to between 10 and 13
feet Friday or Saturday. Fresh to strong southwest winds tonight and
early Thursday will result in very choppy seas, especially in Tinian
and Saipan waters. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough will keep wet and
gusty weather in the area through Thursday.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

.TONIGHT...Southwest wind 15 to 25 kt becoming west after midnight.
Gusts to 35 kt possible. Wind waves 4 to 6 ft. Mixed swell northeast
4 to 6 ft and southwest 7 ft. Rain, heavy showers and isolated
thunderstorms.
.THURSDAY...Northwest wind 10 to 20 kt with gusts to 25 kt. Wind waves
3 to 5 ft. Southwest swell 6 to 8 ft and east 3 to 4 ft. Occasional
showers in the morning decreasing in the afternoon. Isolated
thunderstorms through the day.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...North wind 10 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 to 4 ft. West
swell 9 to 11 ft and east 3 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms.
.FRIDAY...North wind 10 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 to 3 ft. West swell 7
to 9 ft and northeast 3 to 4 ft. Isolated thunderstorms.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Northwest wind 10 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 to 3 ft. West
swell 7 to 9 ft and northeast 3 to 4 ft. Isolated thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY...Northwest wind 5 to 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. West
swell 8 to 10 ft and northeast 3 to 4 ft. Isolated thunderstorms.
.SUNDAY...Southwest wind 5 to 10 kt. Wind waves 2 ft or less. West
