The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  DeWitt County in south central Texas...
  Lavaca County in south central Texas...

* Until 230 AM CST

* At 1124 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
  advisory area which covers almost all of DeWitt and Lavaca
  Counties. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen from
  earlier rains. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are possible
  from an ongoing round of storms that should diminish over the
  area by 330 am CST.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cuero, Yoakum, Hallettsville, Yorktown, Shiner, Sublime, Thomaston,
  Ezzell, Hochheim, Speaks, Westhoff, Worthing, Edgar, Terryville,
  Meyersville, Vienna, Koerth, Breslau, Mont and Sweet Home.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
