...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Maine

  Kennebec River At Augusta affecting Kennebec County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flooded areas, it is impossible to know if the
road is safe for travel. Turn around, dont drown!

...Flood warning extended until Saturday afternoon...
The flood warning continues for
  The Kennebec River At Augusta.
* from this evening until Saturday afternoon.
* At 3PM the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* The river has dropped below flood stage but is expected to rise
  again. The river will remain near flood stage for for the
  next couple of days. People living and working along the river
  should remain alert for rapidly rising water.
