THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 800 AM CDT

* THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE URBAN AND SMALL
  STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY. RADAR AND RAIN GAUGE MEASUREMENTS INDICATE
  UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN THIS MORNING AND ANOTHER
  ONE-HALF TO ONE INCH IS POSSIBLE. THE HEAVIEST RAIN FELL OVER
  CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE CITY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING INCLUDE
  OKLAHOMA CITY...MIDWEST CITY...DEL CITY...BETHANY...THE VILLAGE...
  WARR ACRES...NICHOLS HILLS...SPENCER...JONES...NICOMA PARK AND
  TINKER AIR FORCE BASE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE
SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
