Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
422 AM CDT Wed Apr 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Winds have shifted or will shift to the northwest as the cold
front continues to move east. They should be sustained between
10-15 kts today with gusts between 15-25 kts. In addition, post-
frontal showers and a few storms, mainly south and east of I-35,
will continue today, keeping fire danger low. Fire danger will
also be low in northwest MO/northeast KS because humidity values
should be in the 60s this afternoon. We will have a break from
the rain for most of the day Thursday, but humidity values will
only drop to the 40s. Thursday`s winds will start out from the
northwest but will shift to the south by the evening hours. Winds
should be rather light. The higher humidity values and light winds
will result in low fire weather concerns for Thursday as well.
