FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
148 PM CDT SUN SEP 14 2014

.DISCUSSION...
GENERALLY DRY AND SEASONABLE CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE
PERIOD, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW STRAY SHOWERS OR STORMS ON
MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE CROSSES THE REGION.
WHILE MANY LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN WARM AND DRY, LOCATIONS ALONG AND
EAST OF INTERSTATE 65 WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCES FOR SEEING AN
ISOLATED SHOWER/STORM THROUGH TUESDAY.

OTHERWISE, DRY WEATHER WILL PREVAIL THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK
WITH THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN COMING NEXT WEEKEND AS A COLD FRONT
APPROACHES THE AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST.

THROUGH THIS TIME, RH VALUES IN THE AFTERNOON MAY DIP INTO THE LOWER
TO MIDDLE 30S, BUT WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN CALM, ALLEVIATING ANY
FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS THROUGH THE WEEKEND. GIVEN THESE CALM WINDS,
THOUGH, POOR TO FAIR SMOKE DISPERSION IS EXPECTED.
