Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
245 AM CDT Fri Mar 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Very strong south-southwest winds aloft will mix down today to
create windy and much warmer conditions. While mixing heights and
ventilation rates may be very good, southerly surface wind gusts
around 30 mph may result in some difficulty in controlling
burns. Most of the day will be dry. However, a line of showers and
thunderstorms is expected to begin developing across Iowa and
Missouri this afternoon, and push as far east as Fulton, Knox and
Schuyler counties toward 6 pm. However, most of the rain will
hold off until evening and overnight. Periods of showers and
thunderstorms are then expected the remainder of the weekend and
into early next week.
