.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected today across the area. Some
storms may become severe with damaging straight line winds, hail, and
frequent lightning. The best chance for severe storms will be in the
afternoon and evening along and west of the I-65 corridor. Precip is
expected to slowly dissipate from west to east on Tuesday. Most
places should see between one quarter and one inch of rain before
the event is over. Tuesday night through Wednesday will be calm and
dry as we will be in between systems. The next potentially severe
weather system enters the forecast on Thursday.
