Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
825 PM MST Fri Jan 19 2018

.Discussion...

A combination of low relative humidities and locally gusty winds
will result in pockets of near critical fire weather conditions
on Saturday, but nothing widespread enough to issue highlights.
However, it would still be a good day to avoid outdoor burning
or any other activities that could accidentally start a wildfire.

Late Saturday through Sunday, snow and blowing snow will spread
from west to east across the district. It will start out along
the Continental Divide late Saturday, work east Saturday night
and then move across the plains on Sunday. This system is pretty
strong and will bring wind, much colder air and a good chance of
snow to most of the district.

Early next week, the pattern will dry out again. Temperatures
will warm a little but still remain fairly close to average for
this time of year.

On Saturday, afternoon ventilation rates will generally be good
or better west of a line from Lamar to Springfield and fair to
poor east of the line. On Sunday, rates will generally be good
or better everywhere.
