FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST VIRGINIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
641 PM EST SUN MAR 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...
RAIN MAY CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS BEFORE ENDING...AS A COLD FRONT
CROSSES TONIGHT. THE SNOW SHOWERS ARE MORE LIKELY IN THE
MOUNTAINS...BUT ACCUMULATIONS THERE SHOULD BE AN INCH OR LESS.
THESE MOUNTAIN SNOW SHOWERS WILL DIMINISH MONDAY MORNING...AND IT
SHOULD START TO CLEAR FROM THE MIDDLE OHIO VALLEY MONDAY
AFTERNOON...AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE AREA. THE NEW COLD AIR
MASS SHOULD KEEP TEMPERATURES FROM GETTING OUT OF THE 30S MONDAY.

A WARM FRONT SHOULD BRING A PROLONGED PERIOD OF MODERATE RAIN TO THE
FORECAST AREA TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AREA CREEKS...ALONG WITH
MAIN STEM RIVERS...WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED DURING THIS PERIOD FOR
POTENTIAL FLOODING ISSUES.

A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY...CHANGING ANY
LINGERING PRECIPITATION TO SNOW. COLDER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.
