Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
457 AM CST Mon Jan 22 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms spread across the region this evening and overnight,
dumping one half to nearly two inches at some locations. However, some locations
only received very light rain. As a dryline front brings west winds of 15 to 25 mph
across the area, and afternoon relative humidities falling to 35 to 40 percent, those
locations where little rainfall occurred could see an enhanced fire danger this
afternoon. Winds will diminish through mid week starting tonight, with afternoon relative
humidities falling to between 30 and 40 percent on Tuesday and Wednesday under continued
sunny skies. A light southerly wind will begin on Thursday, with rain and possibly a few
thunderstorms returning to the area on Friday, with rain moving back out of the area late
in the weekend.
