HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION:
:
A FRONTAL SYSTEM MOVED THROUGH NEW YORK AND NEW ENGLAND SATURDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING PRODUCING A RATHER WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF 0.
25 TO 0.50 INCHES...WITH A FEW LOCATIONS RECEIVING OVER 0.75
INCHES.  THE HIGHEST RAINFALL TOTAL IN THE PAST 24 HOURS WAS
RECORDED AT POINT ROCK, NY WITH 0.85 INCHES.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL PROVIDE DRY WEATHER TODAY AND EARLY MONDAY
BEFORE THE NEXT FAST MOVING SYSTEM APPROACHES MONDAY AFTERNOON.
LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE SWIFTLY WEST TO EAST ACROSS NEW YORK LATE
MONDAY AFTERNOON CONTINUING EAST ACROSS NEW ENGLAND MONDAY NIGHT
AND EARLY TUESDAY.  RAINFALL OF 0.10 TO 0.25 INCHES IS FORECAST
ACROSS MOST OF NEW YORK AND NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND...BUT AMOUNTS OF
0.50 TO 0.75 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND BY 8
AM TUESDAY MORNING.

HYDROLOGIC DISCUSSION:
:
MINOR RISES, GENERALLY LESS THAN 0.5 FOOT, WERE OBSERVED ON RIVERS
THROUGHOUT THE NORTHEAST OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS IN RESPONSE TO
SUNDAY`S RAINFALL.  WITH HIGH PRESSURE KEEPING THE REGION DRY FOR
THE NEXT 24-36 HOURS, RIVER LEVELS WILL BE SLOWLY TRENDING
DOWNWARD THROUGH MONDAY.  ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS MONDAY NIGHT
INTO TUESDAY IS EXPECTED TO CAUSE ADDITIONAL MINOR RISES ON AREA
RIVERS.

ACCORDING TO THE USGS WATER WATCH WEBPAGE, 7-DAY AVERAGE
STREAMFLOWS RANGE FROM THE NORMAL TO SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL
CATEGORIES ACROSS MOST OF NEW YORK STATE AS WELL AS CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND. ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND AND SOUTHEAST
NEW YORK, RIVER FLOWS ARE MOSTLY IN THE BELOW TO WELL BELOW NORMAL
CATEGORIES.

THE NERFC FLOOD POTENTIAL OUTLOOK GRAPHIC INDICATES SIGNIFICANT
RIVER FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED IN THE NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES
DURING THE NEXT FIVE DAYS.
