AN ARCTIC AIRMASS DROPPING ACROSS THE LOWER GREAT LAKES IN
COMBINATION WITH WESTERLY FLOW ACROSS LAKE ONTARIO WILL PRODUCE
LAKE EFFECT SNOWS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE NORTH COUNTRY TUESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY. SHOULD A LAKE EFFECT BAND DEVELOP AS
CURRENTLY EXPECTED...SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ON
THE TUG TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE BAND IS THEN
EXPECTED TO SHIFT TOWARDS THE THOUSAND ISLANDS WEDNESDAY AND
INTENSIFY WEDNESDAY NIGHT...POSSIBLY BRINGING ADVISORY-LEVEL
AMOUNTS TO THE AREA INTO THURSDAY.

A TIGHTENING PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN A STRONG AREA OF HIGH
PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL UNITED STATES AND LOW PRESSURE DROPPING
ACROSS HUDSON BAY WILL POTENTIALLY PRODUCE STRONG WINDS ACROSS THE
NIAGARA FRONTIER AND LAKE ERIE SHORELINE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
THURSDAY MORNING. SUSTAINED WINDS ARE CURRENTLY EXPECTED TO APPROACH
35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION...THESE WINDS WILL
PRODUCE WIND CHILLS NEAR OR JUST BELOW ZERO.
