A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...

  CENTRAL AND NORTHERN LAKE HURON...
  ST MARYS RIVER...

AT 335 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BROKEN LINE OF SHOWERS AND
A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 30
KNOTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
NEAR ROGERS CITY TO TAWAS BAY...MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS. ANOTHER
CLUSTER OF SHOWERS WAS LOCATED OVER AND WEST OF THE LOWER ST MARYS
RIVER VALLEY. THESE WERE ALSO MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...

AU SABLE POINT...PRESQUE ISLE LIGHT...FORTY MILE POINT...TAWAS
POINT...MIDDLE ISLAND...BLACK RIVER...HARRISVILLE...POTAGANNISSING
BAY...STURGEON POINT...NINE MILE POINT...SOUTH POINT...DE TOUR
VILLAGE AND DETOUR VILLAGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
