THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A GALE WATCH...
WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY
NIGHT. A HAZARDOUS SEAS WATCH HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS
HAZARDOUS SEAS WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS: WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND
  COULD POSSIBLY REACH 36 KTS WITH GUSTS TO 46 KTS BEGINNING
  THURSDAY MORNING. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DECREASE BELOW GALES
  EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

* SEAS: CHOPPY WIND-WAVE DOMINATED SEAS BETWEEN 8 AND 12 FEET WITH
  A PERIOD OF 8 SECONDS WILL BE POSSIBLE BEGINNING THURSDAY
  MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* AREAS AFFECTED: WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE STRONGEST SOUTH OF GOLD
  BEACH BEYOND 10 NM. SEAS ARE EXPECTED TO BE HIGHEST SOUTH OF
  PORT ORFORD BEYOND 10 NM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF GALE FORCE WINDS OF 34 TO
47 KNOTS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC TIMING
AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. IT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
ALTERING THEIR PLANS.

A HAZARDOUS SEAS WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF HAZARDOUS SEAS
HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC TIMING AND/OR
