...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM CST this
evening. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* TIMING...Noon through 6 PM.

* WINDS...35 to 45 mph with gusts to 55 mph or higher.

* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing dust will restrict visibility.
  Vehicles on roads oriented north to south will experience
  strong crosswinds. Lightweight outdoor furniture or objects
  can be blown around.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

Advisory, which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM CST this
evening. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* WINDS...30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing dust will restrict visibility.
  Vehicles on roads oriented north to south will experience
  strong crosswinds. Lightweight outdoor furniture or objects
  can be blown around.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph are
expected. Adjust travel and outdoor activities accordingly.
