...Hot for inland areas today...

.High pressure aloft and a shallow marine inversion will continue
the hot weather for inland areas today. Weakening high pressure
aloft...slight deepening of a shallow marine layer...and stronger
onshore flow will spread cooling inland on Tuesday.

* Outlook...Not as hot Tuesday with further cooling Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Heat
Advisory...which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 9 PM PDT
this evening.

* High Temperatures...95 to 100.

* Location...Far inland areas and near the foothills.

* Impacts...Those working or spending time outdoors, the
  elderly, children, and those unaccustomed to excessive heat
  will be most susceptible to dangerous heat illness.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When
possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
