.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose was
centered near 39.5N 67W, or about 170 nm SE of Nantucket at 8 AM
EDT this morning with maximum winds around 25 kt just to the SE
of the center. Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose will remain nearly
stationary today, and then dissipate tonight or early Mon.
Otherwise, S to SE swell from Hurricane Maria will impact the

inland just NW of the area today, then shift further NW of the
waters tonight into Mon. Hurricane Maria is expected to track N
and then turn E and NE, passing through the southern and central
Mid-Atlantic waters Mon into Thu night. Refer to the latest
National Hurricane Center advisory for Hurricane Maria. A cold
front will pass SE over the region later Thu and Thu night.
