Water levels can be expected to rise on the Buttahatchie River and Tombigbee
River.

At 5 AM Thursday, the stage on the Tombigbee River at Bigbee was 9.7
feet and rising. The river is forecast to crest just below flood stage on Friday afternoon. Flood stage is 14 feet. At 14 feet, flooding of
low lying agricltural land occurs.

At 5 AM Thursday, the stage on the Buttahatchie River near Aberdeen
was 10.4 feet and rising. The river is forecast to crest near 12 feet Friday evening. Flood stage is 13 feet. At 13 feet, low land near the river floods.

The next River Statement will be issued later this morning, or sooner if
conditions warrant.
