The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS out 20 NM...
  Mississippi Sound...

* Until 1030 AM CDT.

* At 925 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Horn Island,
  moving southeast at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail up to half
           dollar size.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  Central Dauphin Island, Sand Island Lighthouse, Dauphin Island
  Bridge, Fort Gaines, Western Dauphin Island, Farewell Buoy, Petit
  Bois Pass, Mississippi Sound East Of Pascagoula, Heron Bay, and
  Portersville Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
