...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EAST CENTRAL DOLORES...
NORTHEASTERN MONTEZUMA...SOUTHWESTERN SAN JUAN AND NORTHEASTERN LA
PLATA COUNTIES UNTIL 845 PM MDT...

At 818 PM MDT, Doppler Radar detected a line of thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles northeast of Dolores to 7 miles north
of Durango. Movement was east at 45 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Durango, Rico, La Plata, Tacoma, Vallecito, Stoner, Hermosa, Trimble
and Rockwood.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado between mile markers 23 and 53.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 22 and 56.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
