The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Gaines County in western Texas...
  Northwestern Dawson County in western Texas...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 1012 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
  Seagraves Airport, or 7 miles southeast of Seagraves, moving
  northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Welch, Seagraves Airport, Loop, and Gaines County Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
