WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
345 AM CST SUN DEC 17 2017

RAIN SHOWERS WILL QUICKLY MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE
QUAD STATE REGION TODAY, BUT CONSIDERABLE CLOUDINESS AND
PATCHY DRIZZLE WILL LINGER THROUGH MONDAY.

ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL RETURN BRIEFLY
ON TUESDAY.

ANOTHER WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVING OUT THE DESERT SOUTHWEST WILL
BRING THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN TO THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY.

A SHIFT TOWARD SIGNIFICANTLY COLD WEATHER WILL MOVE INTO THE QUAD
STATE REGION AS A COLD FRONT PUSHES ACROSS THE AREA LATE FRIDAY.
RAIN, POSSIBLY ENDING IN A BRIEF WINTRY MIX, WILL BE EXPECTED WITH
THE PASSAGE OF THE COLD FRONT ON FRIDAY.

TEMPERATURES DURING THE WEEK WILL MOVE FROM NEARLY 10 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL TO AROUND FIVE DEGREES BELOW NORMAL NEXT WEEKEND.

THERE STILL REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY ON THE COVERAGE AND TYPE OF
PRECIPITATION LATE NEXT WEEKEND IN PREPARATION FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
FOR THOSE PLANNING TRAVEL LATER THIS WEEK, STAY TUNED TO THE
LATEST FORECASTS.
