URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Potent late season winter storm will impact the region...

.A north Pacific storm will move through the region Wednesday
night and Thursday with strong winds possible Thursday along the
and behind the cold front. Snow levels fall to around 4000 feet
behind cold front bringing snow to the southwest Idaho highlands.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON THURSDAY
TO 6 AM MDT FRIDAY...

* SNOW AMOUNTS...2 to 4 inches with locally 6 inches. Higher
  amounts in the mountains possible.

* SNOW LEVELS...8000 feet lowering to 4000 feet by Thursday
  afternoon.

* WINDS...Northwest winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* TIMING...Snow levels lower to 4000 feet with the cold front on
  Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel may become difficult especially on Highway 51
  with reduced visibility due to blowing snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling...especially in open
areas.
