THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

EASTERLY WINDS WILL BRING INCREASED MOISTURE TO THE AREA TODAY AND
TONIGHT ALLOWING FOR A RETURN OF SCATTERED SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A COLUMBUS TO
MACON LINE WILL SEE THE BEST CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS. A FEW
STRONG STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS ACTIVITY ALLOWING FOR
GUSTY WINDS BUT OVERALL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE MAIN
THREAT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

A SERIES OF UPPER DISTURBANCES AND INCREASING ATLANTIC MOISTURE
WILL BRING A NUMEROUS AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BACK TO
THE AREA FOR PORTIONS OF THE WEEKEND. NEXT WEEK REMAINS UNCERTAIN
DUE TO THE HOSTEL CONDITIONS CURRENTLY EXPERIENCED BY TROPICAL
STORM ERIKA WHICH IT WILL NEED TO OVERCOME TO SURVIVE THE NEXT
SEVERAL DAYS. OFFICIAL FORECAST TRACK BRINGS A WEAKENING SYSTEM
TO THE FLORIDA AND GEORGIA STATE LINE BY TUESDAY NIGHT. THIS WOULD
RESULT IN A HEAVY RAIN SCENARIO BY MID WEEK FOR MUCH OF THE
SOUTHERN TIER OF OUR AREA WITH FLOODING THE MAIN CONCERN. PLEASE
STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST FORECASTS FROM THIS OFFICE ON THIS
DEVELOPING WEATHER SYSTEM.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
