...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE KUSKOKWIM RIVER IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON
AKDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by ice jams is expected.

* WHERE...The following area, Kuskokwim River, Browns Slough and
  other small streams near Bethel.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Tidal impacts may raise river levels further and intensify
  flooding in the areas around Bethel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 928 AM AKDT, minor flooding was reported near the
    Kuskpokwim River near Browns Slough. the River Watch Team
    reported releases from upstream ice jams were causing the
    Kuskokwim River to rise quickly and additional flooding my be
    intensified through tonight as high tide impacts river
    levels.
  - For Kuskokwim River at Bethel:
    At 9:00am the stage was 8.65 feet.
    Flood Stage is 8.5 feet.

People with interests or property on the Kuskokwim River in Bethel
and surrounding areas should take precautions and move items to
higher ground.
