...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Newberry
County through 1045 PM EDT...

At 1013 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Joanna, or 12 miles northwest of Newberry, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newberry, Prosperity, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport,
Newberry County Detention Center, US-176 and SC-
34 Crossroads, Bush River Fire Station, Belfast Wildlife Management
Area, Enoree Ranger District Office, and Kinards.

This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 62 and 79.
