THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS OR SOME FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY
AND TONIGHT OVER MAINLY FAR NORTHERN WISCONSIN...NORTH AND EAST OF
A LINE FROM PHILLIPS TO ASHLAND. LITTLE ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL AFFECT THE NORTHLAND
SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATION SHOULD BE LOW...
LESS THAN 2 INCHES. THERE COULD BE SOME PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE WITH
THE SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THE SNOW AND
FREEZING DRIZZLE MAY MAKE ROADS SLIPPERY.

SEVERAL AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION MONDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY. WHILE THERE IS STILL CONSIDERABLE
UNCERTAINTY WITH THE EVENTUAL EVOLUTION OF THESE SYSTEMS. THE BEST
CHANCE OF A WINTRY MIX WILL BE MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY
EVENING. ANOTHER ROUND OF PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE MIDWEEK. AS OF
THIS MORNING LESS THAN 2 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED FROM BOTH
PERIODS OF SNOW. HOWEVER...ANYONE WITH TRAVEL PLANS MIDWEEK OR LATER
SHOULD MONITOR THE FORECAST. IF THE MIDWEEK SYSTEM TRACKS FARTHER
WEST THAN INDICATED THIS MORNING...THE POTENTIAL FOR ACCUMULATING
SNOW WOULD INCREASE.

MEASUREMENTS OF SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS TODAY AND TONIGHT TO
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. SPOTTERS AND THE PUBLIC CAN ALSO
REPORT PRECIPITATION TYPE WITH THE FREE M-PING SMARTPHONE APP.

WATERS OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR THIS
MORNING. WINDS WILL BE LOCALLY STRONGER ALONG PORTIONS OF THE NORTH
SHORE FROM SILVER BAY TO GRAND MARAIS. THE LOCALLY HIGHER WINDS AND
RESULTANT WAVES MAY MAKE NAVIGATION DIFFICULT FOR SMALLER VESSELS.

LOCALLY STRONGER NORTHWEST WINDS WILL REDEVELOP ALONG THE NORTH
SHORE TONIGHT FROM SILVER BAY TO GRAND PORTAGE. THE STRONG WINDS AND
RESULTANT WAVES MAY CREATE CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO SMALLER VESSELS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A WEAK STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. WINDS OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR WILL BACK SOUTHEASTERLY AND
EVENTUALLY SOUTHERLY DURING THE WEEKEND. THE WINDS AND RESULTANT
WAVES MAY CREATE CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO SMALLER VESSELS SATURDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT.

SEVERAL ADDITIONAL STORM SYSTEMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION
TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY. A PROLONGED PERIOD OF STRONG WESTERLY
WINDS AND RESULTANT HIGHER WAVES IS POSSIBLE.
