THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A STRONG WEATHER DISTURBANCE AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL BRING
THE THREAT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN MINNESOTA AND PERHAPS
AS FAR EAST AS NORTHWEST WISCONSIN THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS TONIGHT. STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO LAST MORE THAN AN HOUR OR
TWO IN ANY ONE LOCATION...BUT MOST LOCALES ACROSS CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN MINNESOTA SHOULD EXPECT A SHORT-LIVED PERIOD OF
THUNDERSTORMS SOMETIME BETWEEN 7 PM AND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. ACROSS
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN...THE THREAT WILL BE A BIT LATER...ROUGHLY FROM
10 PM THROUGH 2 AM. A FEW OF THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
PRODUCE HAIL UP TO A HALF INCH IN DIAMETER...AND SOME WIND GUSTS
FROM 40 TO 50 MPH...ESPECIALLY ACROSS MINNESOTA BEFORE ROUGHLY 10
PM. THE THREAT FOR HAIL AND WIND SHOULD DIMINISH ACROSS NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN BY AFTER MIDNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THE PERSISTENCE OF TEMPERATURES ABOVE FREEZING FOR LONG PERIOD OF
TIME WILL CONTINUE TO RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT SNOW MELT AND RUNOFF
OVER THE NEXT WEEK ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. WHILE NO MAJOR FLOODING
IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME ON ANY OF THE MAJOR RIVERS ACROSS NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA OR NORTHWEST WISCONSIN...IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME OF THE
SMALLER TRIBUTARY STREAMS AND RIVERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE IN THE
MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD ALONG THE NORTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR...AND ALSO
FEEDING INTO LAKE SUPERIOR ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE IN NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN COULD POSE A FLOODING THREAT.

OTHERWISE...NO OTHER HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT.
HOWEVER...SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTER REPORTS OF SMALL HAIL OR GUSTY
WINDS THIS EVENING OR TONIGHT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
