THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE WILL BE A BLAST OF COLD AIR OVER THE NORTHLAND THIS
AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP
OVER THE REGION. THERE WILL BE WIND GUSTS APPROACHING 35 MPH IN
SOME AREAS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...INCLUDING THE
TWIN PORTS.

COLD NORTHERLY FLOW WILL DEVELOP OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR LATE
TODAY AND TONIGHT. THIS WILL DEVELOP LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS OVER
PARTS OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. A LAKE
EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR IRON COUNTY FOR TONIGHT
WHERE THERE WILL BE SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES. THE
HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE
GOGEBIC RANGE. THE SNOWFALL INTENSITY WILL LIKELY PEAK LATE THIS
EVENING AND DURING THE WEE HOURS OF FRIDAY MORNING...THEN
GRADUALLY DECREASE LATER FRIDAY MORNING. PLEASE READ THE LATEST

LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THE WINDS AND RESULTING WAVES
WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR SMALL CRAFT. THE STRONGEST
WINDS AND HIGHEST WAVES WILL BE ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE. A SMALL
CRAFT ADVISORY HAS BEEN POSTED FOR LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO
