.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions continue today before a large system moves in for
tonight, lasting through early Wednesday, bringing widespread
showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Tuesday night. For today,
abundant sunshine will once again help minimum RH values dip to the
20 to 30 percent range. Easterly winds around 10 to 15 mph are
expected to develop late this morning lasting into the evening
hours.

Widespread rainfall is expected with the upcoming system, with total
rainfall amounts between 1 to 2 inches likely, with heaviest
rainfall expected north of the Highway 30 corridor. Fire danger
threat will remain low throughout the area this week.

The Grassland Fire Danger Index -GFDI- does not account for
precipitation that occurs or any snow on the ground. Please
make appropriate adjustments.
