HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND FORKS ND
321 PM CDT THU JUN 26 2014

...MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF RAIN FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS...

ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAINS POSSIBLE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AS A
SLOW MOVING UPPER LOW MOVES THROUGH CANADA. EXPECT SEVERAL PERIODS
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...WITH SCATTERED ACTIVITY TONIGHT AND
A BETTER CHANCE FOR WIDESPREAD RAINFALL FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY. WITH A VERY MOIST ATMOSPHERE IN PLACE HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL OCCUR WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS. FROM TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
NIGHT A 1-2 INCH WIDESPREAD RAINFALL IS LIKELY WITH LOCALLY AREAS
OF 3-5 INCHES.

THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS ON AREAS WITH
ALREADY SATURATED GROUND AND SWOLLEN WATERWAYS. IT IS UNCERTAIN AT
THIS POINT EXACTLY WHICH EXACT PLACES WILL RECEIVE MULTIPLE
ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS. BUT THOSE SPOTS THAT AREA ALREADY
WATERLOGGED AND THAT GET A HEAVY AMOUNT OF RAIN OVER THE NEXT FEW
DAYS COULD SEE OVERLAND FLOODING...AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL RISES ON
AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS. PERSONS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS
SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
