HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND FORKS ND
506 AM CDT THU JUN 26 2014

...MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF RAIN FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS...

A RETURN TO ACTIVE WEATHER IS IN STORE FOR THE LAST PART OF THE
WORK WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND. A COMPLEX OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE RED RIVER VALLEY THIS
MORNING...WITH ADDITIONAL REDEVELOPMENT POSSIBLE THURSDAY
AFTERNOON. ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE
INTO THE AREA LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY...WITH
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING INTO THE WEEKEND.
SOME OF THE RAIN COULD BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES...AND WITH SEVERAL
ROUNDS OF RAIN MOVING THROUGH...ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE.

THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS ON AREAS WITH
ALREADY SATURATED GROUND AND SWOLLEN WATERWAYS. IT IS UNCERTAIN AT
THIS POINT EXACTLY WHICH EXACT PLACES WILL RECEIVE MULTIPLE
ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS. BUT THOSE SPOTS THAT AREA ALREADY
WATERLOGGED AND THAT GET A HEAVY AMOUNT OF RAIN OVER THE NEXT FEW
DAYS COULD SEE OVERLAND FLOODING...AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL RISES ON
AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS. PERSONS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS
SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
