...HEAVY RAIN POTENTIAL FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY...

A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY
RAIN TO PARTS OF THE REGION FROM FRIDAY EVENING INTO SATURDAY. BY
FRIDAY EVENING THE FRONT WILL BE ORIENTED ALONG A LINE FROM LISBON
THROUGH GRAND FORKS TO ROSEAU AND REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY
OVERNIGHT. NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIFT NORTHEAST
ALONG THE FRONT CONTINUING OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY MORNING.
WITH A VERY MOIST ATMOSPHERE IN PLACE HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE
IN THE VICINITY OF THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY.

ON SATURDAY...ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF
EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND NORTHWEST TO WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
SINCE THE RAINFALL FROM SATURDAY MAY OCCUR OVER PREVIOUSLY SATURATED
SOILS... THIS COULD LEAD TO FLOODING OVER FLOOD PRONE AND LOW LYING
AREAS. AREAS IN EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA INTO NORTHWEST MINNESOTA COULD
ALSO SEE RISES IN RIVERS AND STREAMS.

TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS
ARE EXPECTED.
