...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 07/19/16 TORNADO EVENT UPDATE #2...

.OVERVIEW...A strong supercell thunderstorm moved
south-southeast across northeastern North Dakota on Tuesday
evening (July 19th)...producing widespread wind damage. So
far...three tornadoes have been confirmed through damage
surveys.

Estimated peak wind:    110 mph

The tornado touched down near highway 5 north of Mountain
and moved south-southeast crossing the Tongue River and
highway 32 near the Tongue River.

The tornado touched down on the southern end of Hoople...
moved south-southeast across Highway 18 and damaged
a potato warehouse south-southeast of Hoople.

End location:           3 miles SSW Nash

The tornado touched down 2 miles south-southwest of Nash
near the southern branch of the Park River. Damage was
primarily to trees.
