SURVEY SUMMARY: RESULTS FROM THE NWS DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND SPOTTER
PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE INDICATED AN EF1 TORNADO OCCURRED SATURDAY
AFTERNOON FROM ROUGHLY THREE MILES NORTHWEST OF INKSTER...NEAR THE
EAST EDGE OF THE FOREST RIVER COLONY...TO AT AROUND 2 MILES EAST OF
ORR. THIS TORNADO WAS OBSERVED AND REPORTED BY GRAND FORKS AIRFORCE
BASE TOWER PERSONNEL AROUND 508 PM CDT... FROM A LOCATION OF AT
LEAST 12 MILES TO ITS SOUTHEAST. A FEW OAK TREES WERE SNAPPED IN THE
FOREST RIVER VALLEY WHILE OTHER LARGE TREE BRANCHES WERE
BROKEN DOWN IN SHLETER BELTS ALONG ITS PATH.
