.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A few thunderstorms early to mid-morning will be capable of hail
up to penny size with winds up to 60 mph, generally across areas
of the lower Missouri River valley. By late afternoon, there will
be a conditional threat for severe storms. If development can
break through a warmer layer of air aloft, the most likely area
for an isolated severe storm will be east of a line from Marshall
to Sioux Falls to Yankton between 6 pm and 10 pm. These storms
will be capable of producing up to ping-pong ball size hail and
damaging wind gusts to 65 mph. While the risk is quite low, a
tornado is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thursday will find the threat for severe storms once again for
areas mainly near and south of Interstate 90. These generally
mid-afternoon to evening storms will be capable of hail up to
golf ball size, wind gusts to 65 mph and possibly a brief
tornado.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is possible today, mainly between 6 pm and 10
pm CDT.

Minnesota, east central South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A few thunderstorms are expected to linger at times through mid-

expected to occur eastward toward far southeast South Dakota. If
an unlikely storm could develop, areas toward Yankton may see some
hail up to ping-pong ball size, damaging wind gusts to 65 mph, and
even an isolated tornado.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thursday will find the threat for severe storms once again for
areas mainly near and south of Interstate 90. These generally
mid-afternoon to evening storms will be capable of hail up to
half dollar size and wind gusts to 65 mph.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time, but could
potentially be needed near Yankton from 5 pm to 8 pm.
